Now living in Bangor and studying Music and Creative Writing at the uni, Aditi Saigal or Dot. is an Indian indie musician with a loyal YouTube following. See this video of her debut tour in India with the audience singing along… we’re really excited for the concert in Neuadd Ogwen Bethesda on 16 June!
Unfortunately we’ve had to postpone the Abu Baga gig, we hope he can come over soon. However the show must go on! Banda Bacana will play, with special guest Dot – same time same place! Neuadd Ogwen on 16th June.
Abou Baga began his musical journey on the Comoro Islands off the coast of East Africa, where he sang and played traditional Swahili music. What a great night at the New Years Eve Parti Noson Galan @ Neuadd Ogwen Bethesda! Banda Bacana shared the stage with Turnstone and DJ Fflyffilyfbybl, supported by a wonderful Bethesda crowd with their dancing shoes on. Big thanks to Dilwyn and all the staff at Neuadd Ogwen for all their hard work. And a special mention to Jon Lawrence for doing the PA, we’ve had some really good feedback on the sound.

For those that missed the Jukes gig – and that includes one of the musicians stranded in Colwyn Bay – you may want cheer yourself up by coming to another wet and windy corner of Wales to see some of the Jukes musicians playing in the equally funky Banda Bacana. Polishing our brass, limbering up our vocal chords and yanking up the groove we’ve been lucky to play at some great local events this summer and some further afield. Thanks to Moel Siabod Cafe for inviting us back to another stomping North Wales reception, and to Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and the delightful Beathearder festival. Also in July we played at the Food Slam in Menai Bridge where we sampled some wonderful local grub and summer fizz!
